alone
in soft dawn light
the moon pulled back the tide
left softly to abide
alone
in placid strength
with seaweed floating near
waves breaking in my ears
alone
beside the sea
with all the world asleep
in fortune’s dream of peace

this is such a perfect place to get your poetry chrisybug. thanks for continuing to share. I am feeling the same way this morning. SF summer with fog and cool but hopeful feeling of beach, book, blanket and phone calls with old friends. i love your words on DS. Also I love that they can be quickly digested and then returned to later in the day for another quick read. Poetry is our friend – especially yours. You and La are leading the poetry charge on DS – and doing it perfectly. much love and thanks.
