It’s a large file – but it’s worth it. For some reason this story just breaks my heart.

I just don’t know what to say here. I am totally born away by your work on this hyperlexic. It has been significant to me tonight as I listened to the whole thing while laying on the couch in my study. I am listening to it again while I write this.

I would say first that I feel a kindred connection between your work and Carver’s. The two felt so connected and I found myself wishing that all reading had this connection to sound.

I am also really hoping to find out about the sounds in the first part – where are they from and what did you do to them. They are so charming and melancholy at the same time – they feel like a lonely drive in a moonlight and fog – fence posts wooshing as I pass.

Thanks for this work. I need to think more about it and listen to it more in order to understand why it feels so important in my own journey, but it does. The unfortunate thing is that now I will be bugging you for more. 🙂

Wow… The whole thing really comes together from beginning to end… it is a heartbreaking story, and sweet too… the relationship that the man and the server have.
Being mean to and making fun of fat people is one our on-going, blatent prejudices. People somehow feel superior to someone who is fat, as if they did this on purpose to annoy and anger others.
But, I loved the piece… it has a very human quality to it… thanks for sharing this!

Thanks hyperplexic. There is a line from “stranger than paridise”: eva says, “it is a sad and beautiful world”. That is what your remix is to me, i really enjoyed it.
